Jacqui O’Shaughnessy established the Woodbridge School of Dance in 1978. The small one room studio located on Main Street, Woodbridge has grown into one of the largest facilities in Middlesex county. Barbara Vari, Co Director, has been involved in the studio for twenty years. A big part of the studio’s growth has been accredited to the dedication and unique styles of these two women.

Woodbridge School of Dance offers a complete curriculum in courses for all ages and levels. Our classes are taught by trained professionals who pride themselves on staying current by attending masters classes and dance intensives as often as possible.

The present location has three dance rooms with floated wood floors. Two of the dance rooms open up to a large rehearsal area. The entire studio is air-conditioned. The waiting area is equipped with televised monitors of all the dance areas. Parents are welcome to stay and watch their dancers on the monitors.

There are two dance boards set up in the waiting area to ensure that all parents and dancers are kept up to date on the happenings at the studio. Newsletters are mailed home and will also be available on this web site so that everyone involved with the studio will be kept up to date on activities available at the studio.

Woodbridge School of Dance is located on the corner of St. Georges Ave (Route 35) and Avenel Street in Avenel, NJ. The studio is housed above the Rising Up Garden Center, right next store to Denny’s Restaurant.
